Mount Pearl Deputy Mayor Nicole Kieley is a driving force for accessibility, innovation, and community inclusion.
With 20 years of experience leading community-based organizations and shaping government social policy, Nicole has championed solutions that break down barriers and build a city where everyone belongs.
Her leadership is grounded in listening, understanding, and advocacy — from her work as Executive Director with Women in Resource Development and the NL Sexual Assault Crisis Centre, to her time as Special Advisor to the Premier, and now as a proud municipal leader.
After becoming an above-knee amputee and wheelchair user, Nicole’s personal journey deepened her commitment to universal design, independent living, and the right of all people to fully participate in their communities. She brings this lived perspective to every decision — guided by the principle nothing about us without us.
